Tuberculosis Work In The Context Of The COVID-19 Pandemic

On December 23, 2020, an online conference "TB work in the context of the COVID19 pandemic" was held for specialists of the anti - tuberculosis service of the Murmansk Region as part of the implementation of the activities of the Russian-Norwegian project "Reduce the burden in the Murmansk Region".

The conference was attended by specialists of the Murmansk oblast.

The moderators included A. Maryandyshev, MD, Professor, chief phthisiatrician of North West Russia, Svetlana Presnova, Head Doctor of the Murmansk TB Dispensary

The conference presented the reports "Effectiveness of tuberculosis programs of the North-Western Federal District" by A. Maryandyshev. "Preventive treatment of latent tuberculosis infection" and "Treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis using new anti-tuberculosis drugs - demonstration of clinical cases" ( Nikishova E. I., MD, Professor of NSMU), "Epidemiological situation of tuberculosis in the Murmansk oblast" (Presnova S. E., Bogoslovskaya M.G., Murmansk TB dispensary), "Organization of outpatient treatment with the use of video-observed treatment in the Murmansk oblast" (Razvadovskaya V. V., Murmansk TB dispensary). 

 

    The discussion focused on the organization of TB work in the context of the COVID19 pandemic, both in the TB dispensary itself and in the TB offices of the Murmansk oblast, as well as the difficulties that arise in connection with the COVID19 pandemic and ways to overcome them.
