About The Coordination Council

     On November 13, 2020, an online meeting of the Coordination Council "Epidemiological situation of tuberculosis in Severodvinsk for 10 months of 2020" was held. Implementation of the Russian-Norwegian project "Severodvinsk - a City Free From TB".

     The Coordination Council was attended by A. O. Maryandyshev, O., Professor, MD, head of the Department of Phthisiopulmonology, NSMU, chief phthisiologist of the Arkhangelsk Oblast and North Western Federal district of the Russian Federation, Nikishova E.I., MD, Professor of the Department of "Phthisiopulmonology" of NSMU, Sveshnikova O. M., Deputy Head of the Arkhangelsk tuberculosis dispensary, N. I. Nizovtseva , Chair of the EB Fund, N. A.Vlasova, Head of the dispensary tuberculosis Department of Severodvinsk hospital No. 1, employees of the same tuberculosis Department.

    Issues related to the diagnostics, treatment and follow-up of tuberculosis patients during the covid19 pandemic were considered. It was also noted that in this period, home-based treatment and VOT were used more widely. The amount of TB drugs remained sufficient. There is no significant deterioration in treatment results. Among the TB cases in 2020 (15 new cases+3 relapses), 1 patient with Covid-19 was identified. Covid-19 has not been registered in patients who are being followed up in the TB Department. The pandemic has already caused negative consequences: the number of unemployed and people in need of financial support has increased dramatically.

   Meetings of the Coordination Council are held to address issues that arise in the identification and treatment of patients during the Covid-19 pandemic timely.
