Prevention Of Tuberculosis And New Coronavirus Infection

On November 12, 2020, the Center for social work of the Northern Arctic Federal University organized a meeting of the EB Fund representatives with students.

And this time it was dedicated to the prevention of tuberculosis and new coronavirus infection.

Both tuberculosis and the Covid-19 are highly contagious infectious diseases that often affect the respiratory tract. The causative agent of tuberculosis is tuberculosis Bacillus, the causative agent of "Covid-19" is the SARS-Cov-2 virus.

Tuberculosis infection is transmitted through air droplets (in 95% of cases from a sick person to a healthy one).

New coronavirus infection (according to WHO) is transmitted through air, air-dust, contact and in a fecal-oral way.

The most important factor for prevention of diseases in humans is the presence of good immunity. Every person who cares about their health should support the immune system: lead a healthy and active lifestyle, quit bad habits, have a balanced diet, spend a lot of time in the fresh air and seek early medical help.

Personal hygiene is also important in the prevention of both tuberculosis and Covid-19.

During the interactive session, a quiz "What do you know about tuberculosis and its prevention" was held, then students watched a video about this disease, its course, symptoms, as well as problems that arise in young people with tuberculosis, followed by a discussion of overcoming these problems.
