Participation of EB Fund in the implementation of the WHO DIGITAL HEALTH TB strategy in the Arkhangelsk Oblast

For more than ten years, an automated TB monitoring system inIT-MED has successfully been operating in the oblast, which resulted from the joint work of the MD, professor, A.Maryandyshev, MD. E. Nikishova, Ph.D. G. Balantsev, specialists of the Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary with the financial support of the Easy Breathing Charity Fund. The program is constantly being improved and expanded.

It connects 27 tuberculosis offices through the Internet to the Arkhangelsk TB Dispensary. District TB specialists have the opportunity to access data on the patient made at any stage of dispensary surveillance, which are used for timely diagnosis and treatment of patients. Also, you can get timely advice from any specialist at the TB dispensary.

The program meets the needs of anti-tuberculosis institutions not only in the context of tuberculosis, but also in diseases such as HIV/AIDS.

In 2017, a pilot project on monitoring TB/HIV in Severodvinsk was launched, providing close collaboration of the TB Dispensary with the Arkhangelsk AIDS Center. In the future it is planned to expand the project to other territories of the Arkhangelsk Oblast.

Also, with the support of the EB Fund, electronic supervised treatment within the framework of the Stay in Touch project has been conducted for two years already. The project aims at stimulating adherence of patients to treatment and includes:

- Video-supported treatment (monitoring of taking medications via Skype)

- Informing about the need for examination, coming to the doctor's office via Sms.
